About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Manager Asset Management Mining to join our Perth-based team, working Monday to Friday with regular site travel to the Roy Hill Mine.
Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will lead a high-performing cross-functional team of planning, reliability, and engineering professionals dedicated to maximising the performance, reliability, and availability of our mining fleet.
As a key strategic partner to the mining operation, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable production outcomes through effective asset management practices. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the long-term success of the operation by driving asset strategy, maintenance excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. With a strong focus on embedding fit-for-purpose systems, standardising work practices and strengthening organisational capability, you will lead a diverse team to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance outcomes.
Duties:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of planning, reliability, and engineering professionals, fostering a strong safety culture and driving operational excellence.
- Build trusted relationships with operational leaders, stakeholders, and strategic vendor partners to maximise asset performance and business outcomes.
- Develop and execute asset management, maintenance and engineering strategies that optimise reliability, availability, and performance across the Mining operation.
- Lead medium and long-term maintenance planning, asset lifecycle management, and annual budgeting to support sustainable and cost-effective operations.
- Identify and manage asset risks, ensuring performance gaps are addressed through targeted improvement plans.
- Oversee the maintenance planning function and ensure maintenance readiness for new assets, including maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance programs, and critical spare requirements.
- Leverage systems, data, and technology, including SAP PM, to enhance maintenance effectiveness, improve decision-making and drive business performance.
About You:
You are an accomplished asset management leader with extensive mining experience and a proven ability to deliver safe, reliable, and commercially sustainable outcomes. You are recognised for building strong stakeholder relationships, leading high-performing teams and driving long-term asset performance through strategic asset management practices.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management or a related field are desirable but not essential. Candidates with substantial leadership experience in asset management, maintenance, reliability, or mining operations will also be strongly considered.
